Rudy Giuliani Injured in Car Accident Involving Rapper Lil Woody

Atlanta - Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Atlanta-based rapper Lil Woody were both hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision in downtown Atlanta.

According to authorities, the accident occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of Peachtree Street and Edgewood Avenue. Preliminary reports from the Atlanta Police Department indicate that Giuliani, 81, was a passenger in a black Lincoln Town Car when it was struck on the passenger side by a silver Dodge Charger allegedly driven by the rapper, whose legal name is Woodrow Thompson.

Both individuals were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A spokesperson for Giuliani confirmed Wednesday morning that he suffered a fractured wrist and mild concussion but is expected to make a full recovery.

Lil Woody’s representatives stated that the artist sustained minor injuries and was released later that evening. He is cooperating with authorities during the ongoing investigation.

“At this time, we do not believe impairment was a factor,” said Sgt. Alan McRae of the Atlanta PD. “We are reviewing traffic camera footage and gathering witness statements to determine the exact cause of the collision.”

The circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear. Traffic was temporarily rerouted for nearly two hours as crews worked to clear the scene.

Giuliani, who was in Atlanta reportedly for legal meetings, has been a controversial figure in recent years due to his role in post-election legal efforts and ongoing legal proceedings in Georgia. Lil Woody is a local hip-hop artist known for his appearances in the Atlanta rap scene and recent collaborations with several high-profile musicians.

Neither party has made a public statement regarding the incident as of press time.
